This was my last look at the border in before we left: A Border Patrol vehicle, light tower and remote cameras in Arizona are watching a spot on the border fence just north and east of downtown Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
I learned today that many vehicles have numerous dents from large rocks thrown over the fence, but metal grates over all glass surfaces keep the agents safe inside.
(I opted for the black-and-white image because my Canon 900 makes nasty green and pink flares when the sun is in the frame. I miss film when this happens.)
Next, now that I am beginning to settle back into Center City life, I think it might be time to return to a little more blogging as well, perhaps even when I’m not blowing my own horn. Meanwhile, I have a few more plans in the works, and I am still in pursuit of some others, but hope to have some announcements soon.
Thanks again and congratulations to my fellow honorees.
Kathy and I had the great fortune of being surrounded by family and friends from around the world during our New Year’s Eve wedding in Philadelphia’s Old City.
During the ceremony, I handed my iPhone off to our friend George Miller, and – using ustream.tv and the Broadcaster app – we live-streamed our wedding to the world.
We didn’t get married in a disco, but it looked that way as a result of the flashing cameras, partly because so many of our friends are also photojournalists.
We feel so grateful to everyone! It was an incredible experience.
