Space Shuttle Endeavor: 1995
Posted by: | CommentsSpace shuttle Endeavor is on schedule to take off from the Kennedy Space Center in a few hours. I photographed this previous Endeavor night launch in 1995, from nearby Titusville, Fl., using a Nikon F4 and Nikkor 500mm f4.0 lens on a monopod, with Ektachrome 400 35mm film.

In 2002, I spent three weeks reporting on the DC sniper attacks. In this photo, police watch as parents pick up their children at a Maryland elementary school, one day after a one of the snipers’ victims was killed nearby. Tonight, convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad has been executed.
